Creating a river

Last week Molly, Mhairi and Jessica came along to another URES event that was happening in the town centre.  Mid Pennine Arts had put on a photography exhibition of local people's photography, and viewers could vote for the peoples choice winner.  Quite a few of us really liked the one with the carcass of a very rusty shopping trolley buried in the mud.  It looked like an ancient artifact.

There was also a giant river painting being created by Urban Canvas next to the bandstand on St James St and we all got some chalk and got stuck in making patterns and waves in watery colours.  Everyones hands got a bit chalky!  Then it was off to the library for another session with Talya drawing riverside characters... more of that to follow.
